CAVALRY TROOPER'S PLASTRON OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, MODEL 1854, SECOND EMPIRE.
Made of polished steel.
Bomb-shaped plastron marked by a central ridge; bordered by 22 brass studs and 5 steel ones. At the bottom center of the plastron, the rivet is raised for the belt to pass through. The plastron is engraved with "6794" and signed inside "Manufacture de Klingenthal Coulaux et Cie 1856 / 2eT. 2eL. N°276".
In good condition, this plastron has been sandblasted. Two small holes have been made in the return of the gutter on each side for wall mounting (barely visible).
