Made of cardboard covered with black taupe velvet trimmed at the top with a gold braid (27 mm wide) and at the bottom with a velvet band (30 mm wide), shako height 210 mm. Tricolor metal cockade. Gilt brass chinstraps, composed of a round rosette embossed with a grenade (40 mm in diameter), and a leather chinstrap covered with velvet topped with a gilt brass plate embossed with a block of a decreasing series of 12 double scalloped scales (180 mm long), ending with a missing varnished black leather strap.
Front plate of gilded brass embossed with a breastplate and a helmet, all resting on a flaming bomb with crossed axe and sword, oak and laurel branch. Plate height 12.5 mm, width 13 mm.
Double scarlet wool pompom, height 130 mm.
Interior leather lining cut into 8 wolf teeth.
