PAIR OF NAVAL GENERAL OFFICER EPAULETTES, ASSIMILATED CORPS, MODEL 1901, THIRD REPUBLIC (1901-1923).
They are embroidered with curls of gold braid and sequins. The main body is embroidered with a design resembling a V-shaped braid with festooned edging on black velvet, its shield decorated with a scalloped border and two silver stars. The fringes are made of thick matte twists. The outline consists of three turns: a thick, matte cord and shiny spun alternately on a core of cotton; a second interior band of small twisted matte milanese mixed with a single shiny band; a third, similar work, is applied below the thick band, at the start of the fringe.
1870 uniform button (half-domed, gold with a burnished and matte finish, stamped and raised with a naval anchor), fixed at the top of the epaulette body, a strong clasp is placed below, at the corresponding part (this clasp fits into a small tab sewn onto the uniform).
Presented in its wooden transport box covered in green paper and trimmed with burgundy velvet.
