HISTORICAL: The regiment became the property of the Count de l'Hôpital in 1739, brother of the Marquis de Vitry, and in 1741, it went to Frankfurt and from there to Bohemia. It was in the combat of Sahai and the defense of Prague. In 1743, after a stay in Verdun, it joined the Alsace army and distinguished itself in the combat of Rheinweiller with the Colonel general regiment, and in the combats of Weissembourg and Augenheim in 1744. Half destroyed at Augenheim, it was sent to Brittany to rebuild itself while monitoring the coasts. Its main headquarters were in Quimper. In 1746, it defended Lorient against an English attack, and in 1747, after a station in Besançon, it went to the camp of Valence and from there to Italy, where it was involved in the defense of the River Gênes. In 1748, it was garrisoned in Carpentras, Digne, and Sisteron, and later, reunited in Neubrisach. It was seen in Nîmes in 1740, in Besançon in 1750, and in Belfort in 1753.
