Leather case with brass sides, H 8.5 cm, width 16.6 cm, depth 3.7 cm. Black varnished leather flap, H 10.5 cm, width 17.7 cm, decorated in its center with a molded motif and chased in gilded bronze representing the Gallic rooster perched on a branch of mixed oak leaves intertwined with a laurel branch, with a background of a naval anchor. Height of motif 6.2 cm, width 7 cm. Black varnished leather banderole, width 6 cm, with brass buckles and on the front part a round brass medallion decorated with a lion's head holding in its mouth two chains that are attached to the lower part of the banderole in a brass escutcheon depicting a relief of a Gallic rooster between two laurel branches with the inscription "ORDRE PUBLIC LIBERTE" (Public Order Freedom).
