SABRETACHE OF THE HORSE ARTILLERY TROOP OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, model 1854, Second Empire. 32585
Sabretache in leather, flap (H 29.5 cm, width at the bottom 26.3 cm, width at the top 18.5 cm) covered with dark blue cloth, bordered by a 3 cm wide scarlet braid with outer edges trimmed with scarlet braid folded over. In its center, a motif in stamped brass (H 15 cm, width 13.6 cm) cut in the shape of a crowned imperial eagle resting on two cannons of the regiment of horse artillery of the Imperial Guard "G de Ile ARTle", with the regiment's seal (partially illegible due to small leather losses) and dated "56". At the top, three whitened buffalo leather straps 1.9 cm wide are sewn (between the flap and the rear pocket), each forming a loop to hold the suspension rings of the belt.
Rear pocket with gusset in black polished leather (H 26.5 cm, width at the bottom 22.5 cm, width at the top 18 cm).
Belt for sabretache in whitened buffalo leather with raised stitching on the edges. The belt (width 4.6 cm) is in four parts with three brass rings, marked "EMT.209" and numbered "102 / 444 / 18". The 3 suspension straps are 2 cm wide.

Sabretache in very good condition with the braids showing some signs of wear and rubbing. Belt in very good condition.
