Barrel, model year IX, with eight sides at the breech then round, length 1.01 m (instead of the regulatory 1.137 m). Dated "1811", engraved breech tang "Mle 1777". All fittings in brass with a specific Imperial Guard buttplate featuring a flaming grenade, held in place by steel springs.
Walnut stock, stock stamped on each side with a bee symbol. Flintlock without any markings, the corrected 1777 model upgraded to year IX, veined walnut stock, cheek at the grip removed in accordance with regulations. Iron ramrod.
Overall length of the rifle: 1.39 m (instead of 1.52 m for grenadiers).
Sling made of bleached buffalo leather; stitched on each side following the Imperial Guard model, width 3.3 cm, brass buckle.
Socket bayonet, model year IX, blade length 45.8 cm, total length 53 cm.

Elite rifle (grenadier on horseback, artillery or engineering) based on the position of the frizzen and its spring, and the absence of regimental markings on the buttplate return.
