BICORN HAT OF A "MARÉCHAL DE CAMP" OR LIEUTENANT GENERAL, model of August 24, 1835, JULY MONARCHY, 1830-1835.
Model of ordinary dress (ungaloned): in "flamand" black felt; a curly black ostrich feather is sewn on the inside of both edges. Height at the front 180 mm, height at the back 26 mm, width 43 mm.
Gimp formed of three matte gold braids (diameter of each braid about 8 mm), folding around a uniform button.
Uniform button for "maréchal de camp" and lieutenant general from August 19, 1836 (half-rounded, burnished and matte gold, embossed with a trophy formed of flags and a shield topped with a Gallic cockerel helmet). Diameter 25 mm.
Cockade in silver and scarlet and dark blue silk trimmings. Diameter 70 mm.
Lining composed of a band in brown waxed calf leather and black silk with a paper label printed in black "364 / RUE SAINT HONORÉ / CORNEILLE / À / PARIS".
Perfect state of preservation.
July Monarchy era.
NOTE:
The title of lieutenant general is once again used in place of "general de division," and "maréchal de camp" in place of "general de brigade" under the Restoration and the July Monarchy, and definitively disappears in 1848.
