Made of cardboard covered with a blue cloth sleeve, trimmed on the sides with scarlet wool cord, height at the front 17 cm, height at the back 20 cm. Black varnished calf leather cap of 2.5 cm high. Scarlet wool braid, 2 cm wide. Leather calot, black varnished cowhide Ø 14 cm. Visor made of strong black varnished cowhide on top and green underneath, width in the center 6 cm. Tricolor metal cockade, 5.4 cm in diameter. Stamped brass plate representing an antique-style crown, formed by an oak branch and a laurel branch, with the number 8 cut out in the center of a semi-bomb. At the bottom, the crown is connected with ribbons, topped with the royal crown. Height 10.5 cm, width 11.5 cm. Interior lining cut in wolf's teeth leather. Interior paper label printed with "Infantry Regiment / order number 1845 - Order number 1414." Ellipsoid-shaped wooden pompon covered with royal blue cloth with a gilded brass number 4 and gold braid (officer model).

NOTE:
The troop shakos of the 1845 model are rare as they were modified in 1848.
